Pandemic Media. Preliminary Notes Towards an Inventory (meson press 2020), the newest publication in the open access book series “Configurations of Film”, was presented by the editors in two episodes of the radio show Avez-vous du WiFi?. In the first episode, Philipp Dominik Keidl and Laliv Melamed (both Post-Docs, “Konfigurationen des Films”) discuss the role of media in the first six months of the COVID-19 pandemic and the main issues and ideas addressed in the edited volume. In the second episode, Prof. Antonio Somaini (Professor of Cinema and Media Studies, Université Paris-3 Sorbonne Nouvelle) and Prof. Vinzenz Hediger (Professor of Cinema Studies, Goethe University, Program Director “Konfigurationen des Films”) discuss the essays they wrote for Pandemic Media.

Avez-vous du WiFi? is a weekly show hosted by Alex Chartrand (PhD Student in Communication Studies at Concordia University and Associate Doctoral Candidate at “Konfigurationen des Films”). The show covers questions concerning digital technologies and the Internet. It is broadcast on CISM 89,3FM,the public radio of the Université de Montréal.
